Paul Stanley, the frontman of KISS, recently spoke about his emotions leading up to the band’s final concert in December. In an interview with Colombian radio station Radioacktiva, Stanley revealed that he thinks about what it will be like to sing the band’s classic song “Rock And Roll All Nite” for the last time in front of thousands of fans. He anticipates that the last night of the tour will be filled with mixed emotions, including joy and overwhelming feelings. Stanley also predicts that there will be tears shed during the final performance.
KISS announced the final shows of its “End Of The Road” tour, which will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York at the end of 2023. The last leg of the North American tour begins in October in Texas and culminates in the MSG concerts on December 1 and December 2. Stanley explained that the pandemic caused the tour to last longer than expected, but the MSG shows will mark the end of the band’s regular shows or touring.
Stanley and Gene Simmons, the bassist/vocalist, started KISS together 50 years ago. Stanley believes that the final show will be emotional for both of them, and they will shed tears. He also revealed that “Rock And Roll All Nite” will be the song that KISS performs as the last encore at the final concert of the “End Of The Road” tour.
KISS’s farewell trek began in January 2019 but was put on hold in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour was originally scheduled to conclude on July 17, 2021, in New York City but has since been extended to late 2023. KISS’s current lineup consists of original members Stanley and Simmons, alongside later band additions, guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer.
